Yellow of Paris (Jaune Gros De Paris) Pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima)
Also known as the Big Yellow Pumpkin of Paris or Jaune Gros de Paris. Historic Paris's magnificent huge pumpkin. The large pinkish-yellow fruit can weigh up to 100 pounds. They're circular, flattened, and ribbing is light. They're excellent keepers and remain popular in France. It's great in pies, soups, and baked goods. When the fruit is ripe, the yellowish pink skin cracks and the flesh turns dark yellow.
