The leaves of the silver linden are dark green above and silvery-white underneath. It is suitable for use as a street tree. Pollinators are drawn to the aromatic blooms. Beautiful shade tree with light grey, smooth bark and dark, brilliant green foliage that glitter silver beneath the surface. In late June and early July, aromatic clusters of yellow-white blooms bloom. Tolerant of pollution. It prefers full sun and wet, well-drained alkaline soil. It reaches a height of 50 to 70 feet and a spread of 25 to 35 feet.
