"One of the best acorn squashes for the winter." Produces a bumper crop of fruit on compact bushy plants with glossy grey green leaves. Bears 2 pound squash is full of flavour and high in quality. The flesh is light orange in colour, fiberless, thick, and very versatile in the kitchen. Once the soil temperature reaches 65-70°F, plant in hills. Loosen the soil in the garden, then add a shovelful of compost and a handful of organic matter.
