Southern Giant Curled, Mustard (Brassica juncea)
Long-time southern staple with a mellow, mustardy flavour. All-America Selections winner for 1935. The brilliant green leaves have crumpled, frilled edges and a faint, mustardy flavour. The young leaves are wonderful raw in salads, but they're also good lightly stir-fried or sautéed. This is an excellent option for freezing or canning. The huge, erect, and vigorous plants are cold-resistant and slow to bolt.
