Sorbus aucuparia (European Mountain Ash)
The European mountain ash, sometimes known as the Rowan tree, is a tiny tree with white, flat-topped blooms, smooth grey bark, and clusters of bright red, persistent fruits that grows 20 to 40 feet tall. The pinnately complex leaves, which have 9 to 15 leaflets apiece, are placed alternately on the stalk. May brings white blooms that are borne in cymes (clusters). The tree is covered in clusters of red-orange pome fruits after the flower show.
