Savoy Cabbage (Brassica oleracea)
Savoy cabbage is a broad, thick, loose-headed green that ranges in shape from round to ovate. Savoy cabbage has ruffled edges with deep ridges spanning across the surface of the leaves and is distinguished by its heavily textured, crinkled leaves. The hardest leaves are the outer leaves, which shield the plant from the elements and are crunchy, solid, heavily veined, and dark green to light green in colour.
