The Mulato Isleno is a smaller version of the Ancho, but it is significantly longer and flatter. It has a little sweeter flavour. After 85 to 95 days, the peppers change colour from green to dark chocolate brown. The plants will reach a height of 80 cm. Both the immature and mature stages of the peppers can be employed. Salsa, roasting, and stuffing are all good options.
