ERYNGIUM yuccifolium (Rattlesnake Master)
Easily cultivated in full sun in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Prefers dusty, dry soils. In ideal growing conditions, it self-seeds. Plants grown in overly moist soils or in anything less than full sun appear to open up and exurbs. This is a tap rooted plant that does not transplant well and should be left alone once grown. Perfect for cottage garden, coastal and city gardens.
