Danvers 126 Carrot (Organic) (Daucus carota)
This variety was created by market gardeners in Danvers, Massachusetts, and shared with Burpee in 1886. The root is 6-8" long and a rich, dark orange colour. Roots are bright orange conical with rough tops that can handle a good yank. In our tests, it showed superior disease tolerance and thrived in hard soils. A great variety for canning, freezing, juicing, and storing; even after months of storage, it had the highest Brix reading of any of our varieties. Split-resistant.
