Country Gentleman White Sweet Corn (Zea mays)
Since its white kernels are arranged irregularly rather than in rows, Country Gentleman is one of the most unusual sweet corns available. Its alternative name, Shoe-peg, comes from the deep and narrow kernels. It is a much larger version of an old variety that was established around 1890 in the Connecticut River Valley. It can produce three or more ears per stalk in fertile soils.
