Cherokee Wax , Yellow Bush Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) plants yield robust bush beans that offer high yields of yellow wax beans in approximately 55 days! These beans demonstrate reliability even in adverse weather conditions and exhibit resistance to common bean mosaic. The tasty oval pods, filled with black seeds, grow up to 6 inches long.

First introduced to the public in 1947, the Cherokee Wax bean originates from Clemson University's research department in South Carolina. This bush bean strain boasts vigorous yields and disease resistance, earning it the prestigious AAS Award in 1948. The term "Wax" originated in New England and has since become synonymous with beans that mature to a yellow color.

Cherokee Wax beans produce an abundance of nearly round pods, measuring 5-6 inches in length. These pods are stringless at all stages of growth and contain black seeds. Whether enjoyed fresh, canned, or frozen, these beans offer delicious flavor. They are also resistant to Bean Mosaic Virus (common and NY strains) and Common Rust
