Acer oliverianum d.w. (Oliver Maple)
Outside of Japan, Oliver's maple is a broadleaf deciduous tree that only grows to a height of 5 to 8 metres. This attractive plant is distinctive enough to merit a place in any garden, large or little. Its five deeply lobed glossy leathery leaves emerge reddish in the spring, turn dark green in the summer, and then turn a golden-yellow, amber-orange, and stunning scarlet in the autumn.
