Pycnanthemum Tenuifolium, the narrowleaf mountain mint, slender mountain mint, common horsemint or Virginia thyme. It is native to eastern North America. Pycnanthemum tenuifolium is an herbaceous plant with narrow, opposite, simple leaves, on wiry, green stems. The plant has profuse clusters of small, tubular, white flowers which bloom in the middle of summer; July through August. This flowering species attract a wide variety of insects, including butterflies, skippers, bees, wasps, beetles and flies.
