Prunus armeniaca var. mandshurica (Apricot, Mandshurian Apricot)

Prunus armeniaca var. mandshurica (Apricot, Mandshurian Apricot) is a variety of apricot tree native to eastern Asia, particularly the Manchuria region of China and parts of Siberia. It is a deciduous tree known for its apricot fruit, which is similar to the common apricot (Prunus armeniaca), but with some distinct characteristics.  

Appearance: Mandshurian Apricot trees are similar in appearance to common apricot trees. They typically grow to a height of 20 to 30 feet (6 to 9 meters) and have a rounded canopy with ovate leaves.

Flowers: Like common apricots, Mandshurian Apricots produce fragrant pink or white flowers in early spring. These blossoms are attractive and serve as a source of nectar for pollinators.

Fruit: The fruit of Mandshurian Apricots closely resembles that of common apricots. It is a drupe with a velvety skin and juicy, flavorful flesh. The fruit is typically orange or yellow and is enjoyed fresh, dried, or used in various culinary applications.
